About the Trainer

Jan Dugan opened ONE DOG DAY in 2003 when she moved to The White Mountains and realized that the many tourist who visit the area have few options to board their dogs for daycare and/or overnight as they kayak, bike or visit the many attractions offered in the area.   Before moving to New Hampshire, Jan was involved in doggie daycare as an assistant at one of the largest doggie daycare facilities in the San Francisco valley where she began acquiring her knowledge of dog behavior and training.

We want to make sure that every dog who visits ONE DOG DAY, enjoys a stress-free holiday of their own and to that end, Jan is continually expanding her education in everything 'dog'.  Continuing education includes attending seminars and workshops in:

Canine Kinaesthetics - Visit to learn more about this healing process

Small Animal Acupressure - Visit
for more information

Animal Communication - Visit to learn more about this fascinating field

Since 2002, Jan has been a proud member of the
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CANINE PROFESSIONALS, a worldwide association of trainers, veterinarians, kennel owners, groomers, and all other professionals within the dog world.   Through this Association, the greatest dog experts in the world are available for advice and answers to all questions dealing with dog training, behavior, equipment, diet, etc.

Jan's other interests include: Hiking, especially with dogs along!  Tennis, spinning, pickleball, Yoga, Qigong and reading anything to do with nature and animals.  Also, inventing new games and toys to play with Jessie kitty !
Jan and her husband, Dale, are Southerners by nature and birth so during the cold North winters they and their kitty, Jessie, travel to the South, therefore, ONE DOG DAY is only open during the months of JUNE THROUGH OCTOBER.    Jan can always be reached by phone to offer a referral for another doggie daycare/boarding facility.
